Introduction only at this stage and to say that my 1988 E32 has been in my possession since 1991 when it had covered 44k miles. The current mileage is 259k miles and the only big ticket costs were in the same year at 170k miles when it had to have both a replacement torque converter and head gasket.

The biggest problem at the moment is a very corroded off-side rear wing.

There are one or two other issues but essentially I think the E32 is a really pleasingly attractive and comfortable motor vehicle.

Love to hear from other E32 owners.

The car has been pretty good over the distance.....I plan to get the rust sorted next year (after the winter).
The two irritants at the moment are an intermittent fault whereby the car will discharge the battery over night for no found reason.....been doing it for about 15yrs......3-4 times every year.
The other is an a/c leak presumed to be somewhere inaccessible behind the dash/bulkhead so the a/c needs recharging every spring.....it is a slow leak.

I am surprised at how few 80's cars are represented here.....no E32 owners to talk to....yet???????
