hi all im new to the forum so here goes . i bought my E38 728i sport in october and I haven't looked back ! the car is great but i started to get the itch to make her better ! . I was on ebay about a month ago when I came across a bloke selling a wide screen monitor in mint condition he said it will fit E38's , E39's and X5's simply remove the 4.3 and slide the 16.9 in , i bid for it and won " great " it came about two weeks ago , i was like a kid with a new toy untill i tryed to put the monitor in , the back left corner of the tape section seem's to be catching a black duct inside the dash , i tryed everything i could think of ! then i went to a bmw dealers a bloke there had a look and he couldn't fit it . he told me to bring it into the parts section to see what it came from and they told me it came from a left hand drive car and it won't go in mine , i need a right hand drive one witch has an off set . i emailed the bloke i bought it off to return it and he said no return's the monitor fits left and right hand drive car's . now i don't who to believe or what to do . to top thing's off i bought wood trim aswell in ash grey for the car and i can't fit that because the car it came out of had a wide screen in it and the driver's door trim piece is missing and the bloke i bought it off won't return my call's or txt's because i need a chassis number or plate number to get a match to order from bmw and i bought a mrk 4 sat nav , i fitted it turned the car on and now everything is in french , well they do say everything happen's in 3's . so if anyone out there can help me that would be " great " thank's martin
