Now that I am finally getting my cherished BMW back on the road, thought I post here and say hello.

Well my bimmer is a 535i and never really owned a better car, right now it is an on going project to M-Tech it. Being a 1999 model it had all the basic lights etc associated with that year of car, so what have I done so far.

First the reason it was off the road is my own damn fault. I had a small water leak and instead of filling with anti-freeze solution just used tap water so it slowly lost the protection of the rot inhibitor that anti-freeze gives doh!!! So that eventually the heater core rotted and water pissed out the bottom of the car, fortuately not in the car.

Now if anyone as ever had to change the core they will understand what a mamouth job it was. Pretty much the entire bottom dash and centre console was removed before I can change the core, thankfully it is now done, hoorah!

What else have I done so far.......................

Changed the Verona Wood trim for what is called crushed carbon effect, looks much more modern.

Did have a problem with changing the gear knob, gave myself a bloody nose as you have to pull it really hard to get it off it came free and I hit myself in the nose. Then I found a you tube demo of how its done properly with a lever and block of wood, oh well gonna change the mats anyway.

Replaced headlights with Angel Eye projector headlights and xenon bulbs
Replaced rear light cluster with smoked ones (I will post pics on here soon)
Replaced orange side repeaters with white led ones
Fixed a M-Tech badge on the front
De-badged the back will fit M-Tech badge there when all polished out
Replaced front and rear cup holders cos they were broke, got em real cheap from Taiwan curtosy of ebay which has saved me a bundle

Sadly just the start, ebay has been fantastic,

What else to do (in garage waiting to be fitted)
Rear windows to be dark tinted
    M5/M3 style door mirrors
Boot lip spoiler (£21 including P&P from Taiwan painted in my Biarritz Blue colour and it matched)
    New bonnet badge
    New assorted M-Tech badges
    New electric leather memory seats
Wheels to be delacquered and polished
    Headlight eyebrows top and bottom

And probably other things I quess as I go along

oooo Gonna get an M5 exhaust system fitted from a place in Aylesbury

My daughter says its a mid life crisis, probably right but having a great time doing it.

Hope this has not bored to many of you, any feedback appreciated
