I'm a mechanic with over 14 years in the trade but thee will alway be things iv never done or not sure of

I'm sure someone on here will have had the problem and know the fix if the time comes

I'm just working through the brakes on the car as I managed to over heat them on a recent trackday

Rears are 528 standard now with ferodo ds2500 pads & the front I have e38 4pots over late 540 disks also now with ferodo ds2500 pads

Was thinking the back disc's look very small, would of thought Alpina would put bigger ones on it to start with?

    Welcome, nice colour car.

Might be the wheels being massive that make the discs look small

Yeh could be? They 19s maybe?

The rear disk on mine fill the 18s on it well and poke out past the hub alot more than those look.

    They are only 18's
Alpina only change the thing they feel aren't up to the job & the rears are quite big & vented
The fronts were early 540 when I got the car but when they were needing replacement I had the e38 278 4pot callipers so I just made them fit (brakes can never be to good)
