Hi , im just about to spend my hard earned cash on a 1998 bmw M3 evo.. it has 108,000 mile with a sevice history up to 94,000 miles when vanos was checked and new seals added etc.

As this is my first bmw i would be gratefull for any other information what to look out for or check before i hand the money over.

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome. Good choice in car.

I'd still listen for vanos noise and make sure the car idles ok. Check the gearbox/clutch is ok. Check the bite point on the clutch, they can be impossible to use without a braided clutch hose!
