Ah, hai wakarimas, welcome : At least you're driving on the right side of road there
Haha! Being American, I was a bit more confused (than usual) driving right, but after four years here, I've got my head on straight!!
Thanks for the welcome.
Hi, enjoy the car, looks nice! What are the prices like over there?
Thanks btccfan! Imports are quite expensive over here, I think 98% of all cars on the road are domestic!! My car was going for ¥980000 (£850,000?) and I was able to get out the door for just a bit more (Japan is famous for hidden car fees; licensing, "inspections", taxes, etc.).
It has a three month warranty... as far as getting a mechanic to give the car a look over, do you guys recommend the BMW dealership or would an indy mechanic be better? It has 83,000km and want to get started on preventative maintenance.
Hi ajmiyazaki,Welcome to Bimmerforums.co.uk..............
hello and welcome !
Generally you can't go wrong putting it to BMW, although they charge a premium price for the privilege, but are the best choice if you want the vital servicing stamps for future papertrail etc. For most stuff a quality indy will do just as well, and probably for less notes. I prefer to use indys personally and save BMW for anything weird
Welcome wish the weather was like that here!
