    Hi EVERYONE
    All im a newbie
Im 24 and bought my 1st Bmw compact 320td SE!

Its a Brilliant comfortable ride never had such a solid heavy car before...

Reasons why ive join the forum there is alot i dont know. I didn't get a Bmw manual so don't understand the controls and need help with modify little things like the trim and a stereo.

The thin grey trim around the the center of the dash is horrid so hope you all can help me find a silver trim for my Bmw. Don't think its sprayable it coated with rubber or something... also looking to replace the stereo with a ripspeed dvd dv720... and add 18" 0r 19" wheels...

Please get in touch... How do i buy Bmw things and get some information?

    Welcome dude

You're in the right place for help and info, don't worry about any trim issues or such wear, there are solutions There are guides on how to change the headunit from the OEM one to aftermarket one on here, this is a link:

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...n-your-t20393/

Also on that motor you'll want to consider a few things, changing your oil breather for one:

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...0td-or-t15944/

Also how to clean the EGR valve:

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...d-320d-t15943/

And of course you'll want to check to see if your car has its swirl flaps, if so you're recommended to remove them. Most don't have a problem, but due to the danger if they go wrong, everyone recommends you should:

    http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/...l-flaps-t5537/

Worth doing some reading on the forum in general, and searching for any particular thoughts you have, otherwise post in the E46 technical section and you'll get answers to almost anything

This is how I tackled any interior wear issues:
