    Hi,

    I own a 1986 318i does that make me a classic owner...lol

had the car for years now, only had one owner before me, it has about 80k on the clock, trouble is it has some collision damage on the drivers wing, its been a good car to me but i was considering gettin somethin smaller for the daily commute! trouble is i'm having trouble parting with it, especially when i look at what beemers of a similar age are goin for, i am even considering splitting it figuring i'd get more for it that way.

what a delema, i wouldn't mind keepin it & restoring it but at the same time i have a cash flow issue

any ideas? whats it worth? whats an engine worth? etc

    Hi fella

    ANy pictures of the car?

is it a 4 door or 2 door?

    any extras like bodykit?

With body damage it doesnt sound like it wil fetch much sadly....but thats the used car market for you

    i say restore it!
    Dont break it!

The engine may be worth £150 in good order.

Would need pics and spec to help with car value tho

4 door standard (no kit), sun roof, electric mirrors, central locking.

can take some pics if it helps, i'm told its a 'solid car' by the mot man, it does have some surface rust on rear wheel arches & as i say it has damaged front wing, i say wing its more the immediate bit next to headlight & bumper.

more than likely i'm gonna sorn it end of the month, & get a run around have to see how the cash flow goes as to what i do with it, i also have a jeep as a play thing which i dont have time to maintain so the idea of another project probably aint too realistic! shame been a pretty trouble free car to me, must be the only vehicle i never had to buy a haynes manual for....lol
