so will 215 45 17 give me the look i want...and sorry....20's!
No worries mate, I thought you were showing your humourous side. We enjoy a good laugh on here
Yes it should. 215 is the size of the tread part of the tyre in mm's. The size of the sidewall is 45% of the tyre tread and obviously the 17 is the diameter of the wheel.
The only difference between the 215/4017 and 215/4517 is the measurement of the sidewall. This is why there is a difference in the overall cimcumference of the two tyres.
lol..... new that....just wanted to know if i'll get the stretched looked..... its got 225 45 17 on 8.5 j rims and they look wicked... nice car by the way... what size are u running? 17's lol
What is the width of the front's? Are they 8J?
I'm pretty sure they will look stretched but not like the euro VW's. Contact these guys, http://swtyres.co.uk/contact/ ask for Matt Auty and he will advise you of the size tyres that you can get away with fitting.
There are minimum and maximum size tyres you can fit to a rim, the euros just tend to ignore them. Going too stretched could result in the tyre popping off it's bead.
What he doesn't know about wheels and tyres isn't worth knowing. He is a director of the company so can be difficult to get hold of at times.
Just posted on your other thread too.
Not sure you desserve it though
your mission: find me that spoiler! lol
I'll have a closer look and see what I can find.
cheers chap! are fake m3 mirrors easy to tell from the real things?
