As per title really, looking at chopping my Mondeo ST and getting myself a 320d M Sport.

Looking to get some info and find out any pit falls before I take the plunge.

crankcase breather - change it along with the oil if you don't know when it was last changed - (a blocked breather builds up pressure which can blow the seals on the turbo)

get into the hidden menu and check your coolant temprature ( search the E46/E90 tech section) if it's low - get the thermostats changed - why? - well if your car isn't at correct temp - your diesel particulate filter won't flush itself out and you will be left with a big bill for a new one

depending on age of the car your buying - look into replacing the swirl flaps with blanking plates - again check the E46/E90 tech section or google "bmw swirl flaps"

quite a list - but you did ask ! lol
