Hi everyone, i am new to the e36 328i sport ownership but not new to a forum, have been forum member of previous cars owned and the people give so much advice when needed so hopefully i can get the same from people on here.
Im not sure if the car ive bought was owned by a member on here, he said he was a member of a forum but didnt say which one. I will add pictures soon when i get some good ones done.

Where to start, the car is standard, and i will be wishing to add a few bits, but my main worries and queries are of running or mechanical issues at the moment. I will mention them on here but will do the searching for info after aswell.
Heater blower may have gone, need to find location and check
knocking coming from drivers and passengers rear suspension
Temperature doesnt always go up, could be thermostat gone???
And finally a little bit unresponsive around 2000-3000rpm, has a little bit of stutter, so not sure what that is
Are all of these normal issues, also what other issues do normally happen with these cars.

Sorry for waffling on, hello to all, and hope to get the information i need to make the car alot more interesting.

    Daniel

Welcome to BF daniel, me and the mrs spent the day in deal after popping into machine mart,
sounds like your car needs plenty of tlc, with a thermostat replacement at the top of the list

Thank you for the replies. Yeah Deal is a nice little town, and machine mart has come in handy for me a few times too
I forgot to add a couple of bits to original post,
I have an issue with the alarm, the previous owner muted the siren, but the alarm keeps going off (indicators flashing) everytime i open the doors and lock the car, for 30secs a time, so needs resetting.
And i need to tidy my BBS alloys up as nicely as your avatar Steinlager
I will get some pics posted up probably tuesday, going to have a good clean and polish on monday/tuesday just a need to look at these other issues aswell, hoping the heater blower is only the issue and i locate it ok.
I dont mind when a car needs a bit of tlc, i enjoy tinkering, just dont want any major issues

I also have a 328 sport and from Kent Maidstone mine had similar symptoms with the stutter around 2000/3000rpm turned out to be a crank sensor.do you know anywhere to get your ecu codes read? I know a place in pluckley that will read and clear them for £15

Mods: CCFL kit, 8000k HID kit,Delensed, Tinted indicators, Smoked side repeaters, Red/White rears, 17" BBS RC 041 split rims black with silver lip, Medium smoke rear tints, E46 boot lip spoiler, Debadged rear, Hottuning coilovers dropped 62mm on the front and 102mm on the rear, K&N Induction Kit, Scorpion Cat-Back,Full De-Cat, Sony GT929U headunit, Two 12" JBL subwoofers in custom tubes,Alpine amp, Led interior bulbs.
To do: Refurb alloys, Get Black and White BMW badges

Clear the codes so it's all clean then take it for a drive then re read the codes and see if it's thrown up the cam sensor again which means its faulty in someway.
