    It's like a different car. Much nicer ride, tyre noise reduced. Handling characteristics are slightly 'different' but not better or worse IMO.

    I keep a compressor and a can of water based tyre goo in my boot. That said, I have BMW Assist and rarely stray too far out of my county so it's all a risk assessment really. You may decide the trade offs in practicality aren't worth it without a spare in the boot (literally in the boot - it won't fit under the boot floor).

    Yes your comments match what other people have been saying. Common sense tells me that the RF must be firmer, due to the construction of the side wall to cope with a puncture. You're right though, my risk assessment tells me just to keep them on until I'm in the UK full time again, which might be another couple of years. Have you ever had a cracked 225M ? There is a watchdog report on cracked alloys with BMW, and it is something I'm a bit worried about, due to the quality of the roads here.

    No, never had a crack. Mine had 15k on it when I got it (26k now) and as far as I can see they've never been welded.

    To be honest I'd consider it lucky to get them to honour a replacement even with run flats.
