    Hi All,

    New member to bimmerforums.

    I've bought a E92 320d M Sport, first registered end of Dec 2008.

It's done 22k miles, just had a full service, brake fluid change, two new RF's on the front and a new MOT. It has stop/start, regenerative braking, cruise, xenon's, full leather, etc.

Pick it up this Sunday after all the work is done.

    Welcome.

According to my spec sheet, mine has regenerative braking too but I've never really investigated. I thought it was only the smaller engines that had it back then but perhaps I'm wrong...

    Thanks,

I don't know a lot about the car, as I'm picking it up on Sunday - I bought it remotely as I live abroad.

I also don't know much about the re-gen braking, other than it's an option!

Very nice Coupe you have there.

I asked my old man to go up, and he drove it/checked it on my behalf.

    Indeed!

Quick update. 3 new tyres fitted, failed MOT on rear tyre damage. Garage footed the bill for all 3! (£370 each on rear!). I have had a full service, brake fluid and Inspection 1 done.

Full year tax, new MOT and just insured.

Ready for me to pickup tomorrow when my flight lands.

Next week I'm booked in to AmD in Essex, where I will look at their re-maps, getting a full 4 wheel geo-alignment, and looking to change the exhaust too for a nice twin chrome pipe.

Also looking in to detailers in West Sussex - so I can protect the car for its journey over to Croatia for a year. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know.

If they were charged £370ea for rears... they were ripped off

    Assuming they're the standard 255/30/19's.

Edit: to be fair I never paid full price for a run flat tyre... But whatever gets paid for RFT's is a rip off, because they're rubbish.

Hi - Indeed, I am only going by the price on blackcircles actually, I assume they wouldn't pay anywhere near that. BMW are not honoring replacement 225M wheels that are cracked, unless you have RFT fitted. I think if I need to replace the tyres due to cracking I'll probably swap the wheels to CSL wheels.

Are the non RFT really that much better? I have 3/4 worth of tread on offside rear, and brand new on the other 3.

Do you keep a spare wheel and toolkit/jack in the car?

My issue is that I travel 1050 miles from London to Zagreb, so I can't be without proper repair tools - and don't really want to be on an autobahn with a flat tyre
