    Hi everyone , new to the forum so be gentle with me looking to hopefully do a deal on a 330d sport this week so not bought a bm yet ! Had a long test drive in one today all on my own , so had a real good play , and was totally blown away by the performance and handling , car felt really tight and solid got to sort out the fine details etc and fingers crossed will be driving round in a smooth motor soon

    Thanks for the tip , was a good read , have heard about the swirlflap issue before , always thought it was more common on the 320 d though .

    It is mate but still occurs in the 3 litre derv lump too think the frequency of 320d failures
    is more to do with the sheer numbers sold rather than a specific weakness with them?
    Unless its the fact the 6 cylinder is a better balanced smoother engine than the 4 cylinder, maybe!
    Either way you are aware of the issue so you can make an informed choice.

    Well ive actually done a deal on a 330d sport today , with abit of luck should be picking it up friday its got 12 months warranty with it so not sure what to do about the swirl flaps
    The avatar yeah uncle chop-chop ! its amazing how many people on other forums dont know who it is .

    Congratulations on the purchase, you've 12 months to make a decision regarding the SF's so just enjoy the drive
