new here but have read some posts and this site is very handy
ive a head gasket prob , phoned around and garages want a arm and leg lol to fix , long shot but am hoping a bmw fan is on here to help out to fix this head gasket as once had a mechanic in little garage fix a head gasket on a mgzt cost 650.00 lasted about 3 months ,, not amuzed lol , took it back and 3 wks later went again, anyway phoned somewhere else they quoted the same price , they came and picked car up took it in and found the bloke had took head off and put this type of sealer on instead of gasket,
anyway i dont want to go through that hassle again, i cant afford 4-600 to fix as not working, and being bmw forum and how much some of you love your cars and the pride you take in them and by the way some pics are excellent,im hoping someone can help me just take head/cam off so i can get it skimmed/cleaned,obviously il pay cash for your help,, thanks

by the way -- its a 96 318i convertible , 111000 miles and def head gasket

if i were you i would take it back and make them do it again. Or go to trading standards as you paid them to FIX it.
