Hi Im new to the forum have had my 316ti for around 6 months now and love it bit under powered but ill survive.

Only made one mod so far have put some 17inch M sport staggered wheels on off the 325ti which look nice and have installed a IO ipod interface.

I have a couple of questions, where can i get a front splitter for the compact the only one i can seem to find is the AC one but that is pricey!!

Also am looking to spray my dash trim either silver or black is this easy to do??

Finally am looking for a set of sports interior, maybe even just the front seats in alacantra do you know where i can source them from??

    Any replies would be appreciated.

Nothing to major atm, ideally would like a front splitter to make the front look a bit sportier, looking to spray my interior trim soon as I have the dull grey atm and its all scuffed just need to decide what color I understand its quite straight forward??

Alright mate, i have a 51 plate 316, you know the scuffed trim, underneath mine was a gloss black plastic, if your on about the trim that goes around the head unit and under the airbag, same looking trim as the door handles. i dont know what material it is but you can scratch it away with your nail, and leaves a nice gloss black finish. it just takes time and hard work, but cost free and i think it looks so much better. ill get some pics up if i have time.

So your saying you just took that rubbery coating off the plastic and under there it was gloss black and you left it like that?

yeh ive only done my door handles so far as it is time consuming, but underneath is just gloss black finish on the plastic, looks real nice,

i brought my car and they wer already worn, saw the finish underneath decided than instead of buying new trim and door handles ill just take it off, i havnt tried using paint stripper or anything but it could work out if used gently and what not, might try it later tomorrow.

just try on one of your door handles, get a flat head screw driver underneath with some kitchen roll so your not scratching the surrounding when prising it out.

Hello! I have a 316ti as well which also had some naff grey plastic bits inside. A bit of WD40 and a bit of elbow grease seemed to do the trick, you could be at it forever and a day if you scratch it off with your nails and you dont want to scratch the plastic if poss. So try the WD40, give it a good spray and it should start to loosen the paint. Good luck!
