    Bit late...but I really should say a hello to this sweet forum since it has helped me ALOT.

    Here is my iS' next to my old e36. (Could someone tell me the colour please? I still have no clue what it's called )

    Hi Keynun,Welcome to Bimmerforums.co.uk...........

    If you have a look under the bonnet on the passenger side(usually)strut is a sticker which will tell you the colour and paint code

    That's what I thought too as my old one had the sticker, sadly this one doesn't for some reason.

    Nice car mate, welcome!

    I was looking for mine too recently and although it's not obvious on the car, apparently the dealer can tell from your chassis number so get yourself down there with a note of the chassis number (or give em a bell) and they should give you the colour and the code there and then, that's what the chap from Halfords told me anyway
