Hi all, new here so I thought Id say hello and also a thank you to Lloyd for his fantastic how too`s! Yesterday I took the swirl flaps out, cleaned the EGR (it was filthy!!) and did a full service (oil, air, pollen, fuel filters and changed the oil) and a general check over of everything else, all looks good thankfully. Just one thing someone may be able to shed some light on though, since doing this work yesterday, the MPG meter moves from left to right when I pull up to a stand still now, it didnt do it before. Any ideas anyone? Many thanks, drive safe.

    Hi Martyn,
Thanx for the reply, I didnt think it was going to be anything to worry about (or at least hoped it wasnt!) Was more curious as to why it had started to do it now after doing the work mentioned above??

Hi Martyn, how odd!! Mine goes left to right starting at 50 on the left. If i drop the clutch and freewheel to a stop (bad habit i know, but hey im a lorry driver!) then when I stop the needle on the MPG meter goes from the 50 to about 40. Also Ive just noticed Ive got the whistle now between 1500 rpm and 2500! Any ideas? Ive read through a few things about it, but cant really make my mind up, some people say an air leak, others mention the turbo, some just say its normal! Just mid way through polishing now and its started to rain!! lol So i think its time for a beer and hope its dry tomorrow so I can finish the other half!
