Hello to the forum.
I'm over in the USA. About 10 years ago, I decided to import a S50B32 engine package from the UK, and transplant it into my US spec M3 LTW. These cars were much like the 400 or so odd GT Internationals you guys got interms of the CF trim, aluminum doors, splitter, wings etc....
However, being in the US market, we only got the glorified 325 M50 engine with bumped displacement, cams and programming for our M3's. I was one of the first in the Midwest to do a transplant of the S50B32 on my own, it took spreading the donor car's harness out on the floor, and wire by wire making sure I would duplicate everything so that it would start up. It did!
Since then I've become much more involved in the hobby and I've learned a lot about the S50B30 and B32 engines. I actually do import them now to the US, but that means I'm more in a position to help people over here in the US that know nothing about them...vs you guys in the UK that of course have known about these engines for a long time.
I do have a website that shows some cool photos of the progress of my race car, but I'm not here to try and sell anyone anything.... You guys already have access to the stuff I bring to the US, its pointless!
However, I'd like to be a part of the community. I recently began importing SEM systems for management, and would like to become more familar eventually with tuning options for the engines..... I have a long history of posting in the BF in the US, using the same signon....it is just in this forum that I'm going to be a complete "newb" as they say.
While the race car is pretty cool, I get to drive in the summer a cooler car in my opinion, I have a Z1 as well. The E34 M5 needs to be sold, and the E39 540 is....well, though fully modified by the PO, not the same as the other cars....but fine for a DD. Past cars are Z3's, 1.9 and 2.8, M6 ('87, sorta a M635csi to you guys) as well as a short timed E36 TI.
