    Hey all,

I've just bought my first BMW its a 1996 316 E36, had it for just over a week and love it.
Its got a few faults which is to be expected on a car thats 14 years old the drivers window went with a bang yesterday and now trys to eject itself from the door when you wind it up so I'm about to go and investigate that and awaiting some parts to try and cure the dreaded overheating problem.

Its just done a 500 mile round trip to take me and the mrs on holiday with the cooling issue and never missed a beat

    Thanks
    Joe

    Thanks for the welcome

Sorry the post reads like the cooling faults fixed however it isn't it did the 500 miles with the heaters on and keeping the revs below 3000. I've done a search and ordered a new thermostat and housing as that seems to be the general opinion....the previous owner has done the water pump head gasket and radiator so should be a simple air leak somewhere (fingers crossed).
