    cool

hi over heating and loss of power from around 3000 revs

i had been told a sniffer test had shown no headgasket faults and i wondered if anyone had the same problems in the past.

got a overheating problem at over 3000 revs that will the lose power on the car and pick it back up again after a few minutes. the car drives fine and the turbo kicks in all under 3000 revs so can anyone please suggest any ideas.

the car has been bled and what air bubbles it had have been removed, i have not double checked it again, but the same old problem. there is a powerlink box tapped into it and i have no idea if the problem is from this.

i was told the rad maybe blocked but the coolent is clear (no rusty colour or oil ). i have no smoke out of the back when the problem arises.so i am alittle and expecting a failed head gasket, but i have alot of power at lower revs ( normal driving)
i dont know any history to the car except this problem has just started occuring and 120k on the clock has f/s/h stamped. again i dont know how true it is about a sniffer test beencarried out but the car was nearly free

if i hammer it, it will light up the red indication and power down only done once! i dont drive like this at all

    any ideas people

mrfallon, you haven't posted too much but each problem needs a seperate thread in it's correct forum section. This problem won't get the attention it requires here because it's just for people saying hello and introducing themselves

This problem needs to be posted in the E36 section http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f17/ Can you please repost in the link provided... Many Thanks
