Taking delivery of my first Beemer next Thursday, its a 1999 BMW 3 SERIES 318i S 2dr [1.9] Coupe.

lol very excited - i will be keeping it mostly standard - with the exception of prehaps an Hid kit, induction kit(PiperCross Viper probably)and a subtle back box.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Cheers

    Graeme

Hi Newbie12, welcome to the forum.

I know you won't be disappointed with your new car, I too always said I was gonna keep mine standard.

With regards to the induction kit, they do sound awesome but they will add little or no additional bhp. This may be different with the viper because if I recall correctly this is pipercross's so say all singing, all dancing example...... and the price reflects this also. The advice on the forum is that panel filters are the way to go but it would be interesting to know how you get on with your purchase.

It would be worth having a rolling road test done before and after and then you could post the charts on here for us all to see.

Let us know what you decide and how it goes.

My suggestion would be to avoid the induction kit...unless you dont mind losing a bit of performance and gaining a bit of noise
