Just discovered the forums and thought i would introduce myself.

Having previously owned and sold a BMW 545i SE a few years ago in favour of something slightly more economical i've finally sold 'The Shed' (Peugeot 206) and bought a 2000 330CI Coupe.

As you will all know it's not exactly cheap to run, however, i've missed owning a decent car and didn't particularly want to fork out money on servicing something which i was only using a few days a week for commuting to and from work.

With petrol prices as they are the deals to be had on the 330CI were too much to resist and with only 76000 miles on the clock it's still a bit of a baby when it comes to BMWs.

I've only had the car a few days so haven't been able to take any photographs as of yet but as soon as it's back from the garage tomorrow (replacing brake discs and pads all round) i'll put some up.

You'll have to excuse any stupid questions i might have in the coming weeks and months.

    Thanks.

Welcome. I think you'll find it surprisingly economical for such a brutish car - our old one was.

    Get some pics up

I've just picked up the car from the garage. I was getting quite a bit of vibration through the steering wheel under braking when i bought it last week so had the bushes and brake discs and pads replaced. It feels much nicer to drive now even if it did take me a few hours to digest the invoice.

I'll post some photographs tomorrow after i've had a chance to give it a decent wash. I'm in two minds as to whether or not to paint the calipers as well.....
