    Hey folks,

Just completed a return journey from the UK, where some of the finest E36's can be found. I'm importing a late model 328i Sport in Techno Violet. Not new to E36 ownership, used to have a 320i touring but decided to go with a proper engine this time. Yes its right hand drive in a left hand drive country but its the cheapest way for me to import a car up here with a decent sized engine - the Norwegian Government levies enormous taxes on vehicles new and used based on weight, engine displacement and horsepower. An average, abused, angel eyed rust bucket 328i can go for as much as 9000 GBP (yes you read that right) up here. This one will cost me around 5000GBP in total. Sounds nuts but we earnings are higher up here so its all relative.

Anyway its a pretty good example, totally standard including the business CD head unit but I have some big plans for it so I've signed up to get the best advice around and share my experiences.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome guys. And yes don't I bloody know it about M3 prices in the UK. An E46 M3 here would cost you around 30 grand. If you could even find one. It doesn't make much sense untill you get told that minimum wage for 18 year olds here is 15 quid an hour. Then it all becomes clear! I think I might end up getting a garage back in the UK for 'proper' cars : )
