    Hi folks,

I am new to this forum. I have two BMW's: An E46 325 Ci M Sport circa 2005 with 10k on the clock and an E83 X3 2.5 Sport (04/54). I got back into BMW's a couple of years ago. I previously had E30's but when you could still buy them new!

I am a BMW Car Club member and am being slowly driven mad by the brake dust on my alloys!

Thanks guys for the welcome! As for E30's I always wanted a 325 Sport but only managed two 318i's, a 320 and a dodgy 325SE that went back to the dealer. But at least one of the 318i's had belonged to an ex Premiership footballer (in the days before they all drove Ferrarri's!).

I read with interest your article on huge amounts of brake dust that adorns all BMW front wheels, some 10 years ago i bought a new 7 series as someone who take pride in keeping the wheels clean it drove me mad 3-4 hours every week cleaning those front wheels and then.........MIRACLE!! someone produced an after market brake dust catcher....BRILLIANT!! i sold the car soon after and moved on to Porsche.

I am now back to BMW and bought a 2006 X5 4.4Ltr last week, what a bleedin' nightmare! I am now cleaning the wheels everyday and have put the car up for sale after just one week! sick of the brake dust.

PLEASE can anyone help, where can i get some wheel protectors?? I am looking to have some fabricated and chromed which will be big bucks.

    Peter
