hello, been trawling forums for a while, as of december last year i'm in ownership of a silver 51 plate 330ci M sport manual.
it is a very impressive motor and looks the part. it is in silver and has the lovely red leather without tears or rips which is nice.
in the first two weeks of owning it i replaced the front and rear discs, pads and shoes (for the rear), took headlight apart on pass side as it wasn't held together properly at all and the thermostat housing. the next week i got both batteries replaced in my remotes as they were knackered and forced open the valve in the exhaust as it was seized, so open all the time now. next up i replaced both rear tyres for vredestein sessanta II's and had front drivers arch repaired and painted due to paint bubbling. Two weeks ago i rebuilt the VANOS unit and last week rebuilt drivers window regulator with an ebay kit, which was a real pain, needed some sheathing trimming, but not too bad a job and a bargain for £16.50 delivered.

so there you go a brief history of work carried out so far, i got it as i had enough of tinkering with cars and decided to break my mk2 fiesta xr2 with a 2.1 forged, cammed, gt30 turbo boosted engine. basically i couldn't afford to go further and wasn't happy i couldn't get power down, even after upgrading most the parts to help get power down and make the car handle well.

so not tinkering is going well :(
already planning a remap as the throttle response is woeful and don't want to be doing the reset all the time, hopefully at the same time i can get the airbag light cleared as it is now stuck on since the removal of the door unit when doing the window reg.

i'll get some pics up soon, i'm getting daft ideas with turbo's and superchargers though as i'm fairly handy with spanners and a mig welder.

hope to be a part of the scene and make some meets/shows in the future.

    cheers
    sean

here's my latest pics, just a quick wash and clean on the inside, ordered flasher unit for remap, should make it more lively, more on that in the tuning section when it arrives though.
