    Hi all

I just thought id join a forum to hopefully gather some knowledge on the E36 BMW's. My names Glenn, from the the UK and I turn 21 on the 17th of this month. So im seriosuly considering getting a 320i or maybe a 325i (depending on insurance). Iv'e always took a liking to the E30's, E36's and the merc 190E's but its harder to find a decent 190E and a E30. I currently own a 2010 Mazda 3, that i've had for 2 years, its an ok car but its become pretty boring really fast. So once i have sold this i should have a good amount to spend on a nice, well looked after car, insurance, tax etc..

So, as far as questions go i was just wondering what are the main "Problems" that can occur/are prone to happen with these cars? If there is any? I know any car can go wrong at any time but is there anything specific? Also, is there anything on the modding side of things that the E36's can really benefit from? Im one of these people that love to keep cars in as best condition as possible, with a few tastefully done mods?

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated Thankyou

Welcome along. I'd get a 318IS instead of a 320. 320s have the great sound, but they are pretty slow. The 318is has a great engine that loves to be thrashed, and is usually lower on insurance.
Unless you can afford to insure a 323/325, in which case it doesn't matter!
