    Hello!

My name is Stuart, I live in Mid-Wales with my wife and 2-year old daughter.

I am brand new to BMW and to car forums so please be gentle!

My interests include watching my beloved team ‘Liverpool FC’ - Rugby including Wales and I am a season ticket holder of the Super League side ‘Celtic Crusaders’ - non of which are doing very well at the moment! :

I also cycle (mountain bike and road) and have a passion for horology (wristwatches mainly).

Like I said I am new to BMW (just over a week now) and loving it!

I bought a 320d SE Touring (E91 Sport Wagon?) which was first registered in October 2006 and so here it is…

…pretty good nick outside in spite of it having already done 69k miles and the leather interior is factory fresh.

I do have a few questions (replacement of worn gear knob – wedding ring has worn through the silver finish and reprogramming of a second hand BMW keyless key fob to start the car and open the doors) and so perhaps members could be so kind as to guide me to where they should be posted - here or on the other sub-forums ’General BMW Mechanical Help’ or ‘3-series’ - I’d like to get off on the right foot!

Anyway, really pleased to be here and to learn from you experienced folk.

    Thanks and best wishes, Stuart

Welcome to BMW, welcome to forums also.

With forums you can get as much or as little out of them as you feel you need. You can just use them for info gathering, or you can use them socially also.

Over the years i have been on several forums and have made several really good friends from them.

Your car looks lovely and glad you are happy with it.

    Welcome to bimmerforums

Thank you for the warm welcome chaps.

    Some development regarding keys etc.

I bought a second hand Key fob from ebay which turned out to be useless according to three separate Auto Electric specialists and my local AD in Hereford so ended up buying 2 new ones from said AD (Cotswolds) plus a new gear knob and gaiter and four rubber mats and because I was cheeky enough to ask they gave me 10% discount on the lot so pretty happy with that.

Thanks again and see you around the forums.

    BW,

    Stuart

Thank you Bimmerforums for the birthday well wishes. 41 today on don't feel a day over 40!

Here is the view from my front door on this glorious day. Gone is my 56 plate which was replaced in October by this 10 plate M-Sport Business Edition.

Best wishes to one and all. Stuart
