Recently bought a 323i convertible with 75k, full history and a folder full of old receipts & MOT's. It's in showroom condition and my first BMW, had Ford's, Rovers, VW's previously, and it's by far the best car I've ever driven!. Anyway, I thought I'd say hello to you all.

Thanks fellas, it's like a brand new car, a credit to it's previous owners (I'll keep up the good work and make sure it stays that way) just added a picture to my signature, it's been washed since that picture was taken, and it looks blue as the sun was so bright, it's actually Mauve.

I'll update it over the weekend, if the weather get any better.

    Congrats
I used to have a 323 coupe the best car i have had so far. From the experience i had its great fun to drive. And the engine is great. I have a 320d 2001 and a MINI COOPER 2003 now but i miss the 323.

Nice car you've got there, I absolutely love the colour, and I'm presuming there aren't many the same as ours. So that's what it's called, it says mauve/purple/violet in the hand book, purple on the HPI check. Didn't think a colour as nice as that would just be called mauve, haha.

I won't be in a hurry to tell the lads in work though, that name couldn't be more camp if BMW tried.

(just typed paint code 302 into Google, and it comes up "Madeira Black Pearl" - now that sounds better!)

Here's a link to BMW paint codes and their names
