    Hi All,

New to here but finding useful stuff already.
Just to say hello and to ask some questions re my 2004 530D SE E60.

Already I have poor pressure from the windscreen washer jets.
Either a lazy starter or a dodgy battery
Can't have the steering tracked because the rods are seized

And I will probably do the swirl flap removal even though the car only has 58000 miles on it.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any info on the above, I'll throw up a few posts in the relevant sections once I navigate my way around.

    For info, I've had an E39 523i, an E46 320D and now the E60 530D (oh, and a 98 R1100RT !!!)

    Cheers, B4T.

Hi and welcome along to Bimmerforums UK, it's good to have you on board.

The washers is probably the filter in the washer tank blocking up.

    Thanks for that Ronnie,

After reading your reply today at work, I opened the washer bottle cap, undone the pipework going to the washer jet under the bonnet and put an air line to it.
Though I was almost covered in the most foul smelling water / concentrate that I ever came across before, it worked a treat (I know its a quick fix but hey, I can see out the windscreen again.
Driving in snow / ice in a RWD auto is challengine enough without being hindered by dirt and grime.

    Thanks again
    B4T
