    Hi all

I'm currently the owner of a BMW 3 SERIES (E46) 320D SPORT 4 DOOR SALOON 1995cc (2003) DIESEL. It's such a solid car and so smooth to drive!!

I know I have only just joined but I am after some advice please? Unfortunately I recently had a run-in with the tow bar of a Range Rover which drove a hole through the rear bumper. Is this a full bumper replacement job or do you reckon it could be filled in?

Thanks in advance for any advice

    Marc

Nah that damage looks like it could be filled and sprayed to me. Take it to a couple of local accident repair centres for quotes.

Do it yourself, get a bit if fibreglass (mesh kind) hold it on to the back of the repair use the epoxy resin you get with it and layer it on and once I have a solid shape in the repair use,a filler to make up the rest if the shape if the bumper and sand it till your happy, once u have the shape use a fine paper to smooth it all if,(stand back look like a proud father) and if your up to it paint it if not put it in somewhere, the fact that you have done the repair will keep your cost down.

Yeah if you can do it yourself it'll only cost about 20 quid for paint and fibreglass or body filler.
