    Morning guys

Just a first post to say hello to you all.

We live in France and have just bought our first BMW, a E46 320d Touring, Belgian registered from a dealer in the Midlands! I know, complicated, but cars are so expensive here so anything to try and save a few euros

Looking forward to making use of the wealth of information on the forum in the future.

Found it hard to believe myself when we first got here, but generally the cars are more expensive here and are a poorer specification. I think it has a lot to do with there being a very small number of company/fleet vehicles here compared to the UK. The private individuals that buy cars hang on to them a lot longer also. Hey ho!

Can someone give me an idea as to exactly which years are affected please?

    Thanks in advance.

All diesels have swirl flaps-If you post your question in the E46 thread you will get a much better response but all diesel models are vulnerable to swirl flap ingestion...
