Just a quick hello to everyone on the forums.

Recently purchased a 1998 323i Coupe (picture below). Has got some minor scratches and scrapes to the exterior and the passenger window and sunroof do not open either - although this seems to be a common problem from the little bit of research I've done so far.

However, overall I'm very pleased with it, although I'm curiously fixated with the MPG readouts on the dash and the onboard computer! I don't normally worry about petrol consumption on my other cars (all do around 20mpg), but for some reason these gauges are making me drive like the fuel has to last for the next 6 months!

Hi and welcome to Bimmerforums UK Jimmy Dell, good colour e36, I had the problem of watching the gauges when I got my first car, unfortunately it was the speedo and how quickly I could get it to go all the way round ..........

    Welcome mate
Nice looking 323i youve got there. Quite an unusual colour that is
You can turn the fuel readout off iirc...then put yer foot down

Nice colour and I like the rims. I watch my analogue mpg readout a lot too .. I like to cruise around the 40mpg mark, easy to do when cruising at low revs with a six cylinder engine. i wonder how accurate this dial is?!
