Well I bought an ex leased 320d touring - 55k. I have to say this is the finest car I have owned. A 2008 base model ES but edition model with leather etc. Sparking Graphite with grey interior. I was delighted it was the 177ps model.
I am used to roadsters and we all have to grow up but this humble 3 series is better in quality terms than my previous Boxster. We have a 59 plate Cooper S too and these cars compliment each other perfectly.
dealer experience is very different. I have slight paint bubbling on the windscreen trim. So took it to Romford main dealer who explained it would need booking in and if warranty refused I would pay £90. They also refused to print out the key report.
I can not belive how good the condition based servicing is. Any opinions on this? Pro's Cons? Does it work? Is it accurate.
I went to the Southend dealership who agreed to order me a new part and printed off the service info and gave it to me no quibbles.
So Southend win hands down so far. The mini is due its first service in Romford next week so I wont judge too early.
Great car - great economy and enough performance. I always thought BMW had an aweful chav image but I have missed out through the years with my own prejudices.
