    Hi there,

My partner, Andy and I. are currently thinking that 2 smart cars are not the most practical cars to have. We love them, and I help out on one the forums for smarts. One is fine, but a 4 seater is needed.

So, we've been looking about recenty, at the normal small cars etc. However, we can never agree on a car we both like, except the 1-series coupe. ok, its heck of lot more expensive than a normal small car, but we cant stop being drawn to it.

So, we're probably going to get one in the near future and keep one of our smart (the diesel one which gets 65mpg around town and £0.00 a year in road tax...) and we're probably looking at second hand, preferably a 118d or a 120d.

Anthing we should look out for in our search?

    Hi Superstevie!

Welcome to the forum!! - I drove a Smart forfour before and it was sh*t!! LOL!! - the Smart Roadsters and original Smart 2 seater are probably pretty decent cars though!

The 1 series is a decent choice (if you don't want to go for a 3).. there's a good range of different specs and body shapes available now, so I don't think either of you will have a problem deciding/agreeing on one!

Happy hunting and keep us posted!!

    Hey guys,

sorry i've not been on the boards much. We've had a few things go on recently, so put the car buying on hold. We have now sold one of our smarts, so just got the diesel. Going to be saving up a deposit over the next few months, and hopefully we'll be getting a 1-series soon!

    Thanks for all the replies
