    Hi all,

    My name is Greg and I am coming to you from New Zealand.

    I currently drive a 2002 E39 530i Touring, and sold my 1996 540i Sedan Last week.

    I am an electronics Tech, specialising in Photographic Equipment and Office Equipment.

    I repaired U-Bix / Konica office equipment for 15 yrs, but have recently swapped camps, and now service Sharp machines.

    My 530i is ex Japan, but I have just completed a conversion of the Navigation to MKIV DVD drive and can now use the GPS in NZ.!!

    I have also wired a CCD reverse camera and AUX Video input to the Video Module, and have installed a DICE iPod interface.

    Here is a quick pic of my 530i Touring and the now sold 540i Sedan.

    I'm always amazed at how familiar NZ looks compared to the UK.

    Welcome

    I was in the Uk April 2 yrs ago - things I noticed that were different-

    * Lots more 'Euro' cars
    * Not many Japanese cars
    * Skinny Streets
    * Even skinnier country roads, that look like the verge never gets cut
    * Hard to get a good coffee
    * Easy to get a great Ale

    Enjoyed my time there though, would be keen to return at some time.

    Yep !

    I have already used this forum to help me remove the rear bumper last weekend to fit trailer hitch / towbar.

    I think I would have been looking for those bolts under the trim for ages !!
