Hello there, just wanted to do a brief intro as I'll be a fairly regular user of this forum over the coming months.

I've just got hold of a 2006 520d M-Sport in carbon black and have to say that I'm really pleased with it so far. I've owned Audis and VW's for years and this is my first foray into the world of BMW so hope it proves to be as reliable as my former rides.

I've planned to have it re-mapped in the coming weeks (for economy really, it'll be used to do my 60 mile round trip to work) and only really want to make it look as factory fresh as possible, as opposed to modifying.

I've restored a couple of interesting weekend cars, my current one being an 8v Delta Integrale

I'm pretty mechanically minded so plan to use the BMW garage for nothing more than oil changes (as I don't want to spoil the BMWSH), the first job being brake discs/pads next weekend.

    Good to (virtually?) meet you!
