Hello people of the BMW forum. im a newbie to the site as i just recently bought a BMW 325 TDS (1996) Auto for a run around during winter. Im part of the supra owners club and yep the car thats being replaced for winter is a Supra. Below is a pic of my sup but have to as yet get pictures of my bm.

Have had the the Bmw now for i would say 2 weeks and straight away i have developed a small problem. the left side front window keeps going up and down in funny angles resulting in every time the window popping off the runners. i have changed the little white plastic runner clips but still the window goes down funny and then 'bang' its fallen off its runners. any ideas?

thanks fella's and happy to be part of the forum.

Hello and welcome adnanshah247 Great to hear you have joined the club and you will receive the best knowledge available to hand. If you want to create a new thread for your problem in the e36 section, then I am sure there will be someone around to help. If you have replaced the plastic clips, then suspect the regulator itself.

thanks for that bud, i have done a lot of reading and mostly everyone is saying that its the regulator at fault. also read that bm's are popular for these problems.

That's right, window regulator fault is quite common on BMWs.

Welcome to the forum adnanshah247, good to have you with us

Did you make sure the regulator was clipped PROPERLY into the plastic clips? Many people don't get the ball into the second position, only the first and it makes the window pop off the regulator, otherwise it will be the regulator bent if it was in properly.
