Hi there, I have posted a few times on this forum but never really took the time to introduce myself!
I'm almost 26 and am selling a 318is which has served me well for 2 years after a 318i saloon for nearly another 2. Both have been solid as a rock!
So I have decided to upgrade to an E46 with more power and have put a deposit down on this monster 330ci for just £3000:
It has 112k miles on the clock, a fair service history (my others had full), leathers, HK Audio etc, but the reason for its low price is that the body work needs some TLC! It has more than its fair share of minor dents and scratches as well as a little paint bubbling on a front arch so it's a bit tatty. Also alloys are well scuffed, the bonnet badge has faded and part of a wing mirror needs replacing.
Now I'm no expert, I took a punt as the garage said for about £500 I could get the body work up to scratch. Even if it's more than that it'll be still a bargain I hope as this was originally a £30k car! I can pick up cheap spares to fix the badge and mirror which they perhaps couldn't be bothered to do.
Also I went for a 330ci as the published MPG is the same for all the 6 pot engines near enough and I don't do too many miles. I do hope I have made the right choice!
(If anyone is looking for a well looked after 318is in the midlands PM me)
But I'd love to get this 330 back to its best, see how it does on a rolling road and maybe some track days!
