Hi folks, - missed out the word advice from heading, great first post :(

Im new to the forum but im an old hand when it comes to internet forums about cars.

Anyway, im going to be looking for some advice. Im not presently a BMW driver.
I have had many many cars in my 35 years but only one BMW (a W plate 523 which was awesome, it was my company car back then).

Anyway, ive got some thoughts on buying a E46 but I have some questions and there is only so much research you can do without talking to owners.

Im normally a active forum member for the cars I own (or just have an interest in) so im not the sort to ask stuff only when I need help and I also believe in sharing accumulated knowledge with others once I know stuff.

    Hope your having fun.

    Jonathan

Sorry to reserect such an old post, but ive finally put down a deposit on a BMW.

So really im saying hello again. This time with more follow through, as ill be staying with BMW I hope for many years.

Its a 330d touring SE auto which is nearly 10 years old (2000 on a W, May build date), which is going to be my daily driver for a long time I hope.
It is in fantastic condition with nice history (although not all BMW).
I intend to take it to PMW in Chelmsford fairly soon and get the swirl flaps mod and auto gear box fluid and setting replaced.

After all this time of wanting one im really chuffed. Cant wait for Saturday.

    Cheers
    JC
