Hi all, new poster considering my options

I used to have a 323Ci Convertible, loved the auto box and smooth 2.5ltr but had it a few years (longest I have ever had a car) and wanted a change. I've now had a 350Z for just over 6 months, which has been an absolute blast but not exactly refined - I'm ready for a traffic friendly car again for crawling my way to work.

I can't decide exactly what to go for...think 330 convertible as I want something quick, and definitely auto. I was wondering how good the harmon kardon stereo is? The standard CD was one of the few disappointments in my old BM and the Bose with sub in my Nissan has made sure I won't go back - is the HK up to scratch or worth going for something standard and upgrading myself? Also is the Satnav any good? I know there are no audible alerts for cameras which is ok but can post code search be added? Also how easy is it to convert the TV to play all of the time?

    Thanks all

Many people don't rate the BMW stereo, even the upgraded HK one, they also don't rate the Sat Nav, but everything else they love

Welcome to the forum PEyeball, good to have you on board

I would go for a petrol version over a diesel, the 330i is a lovely car IMO, as for TV, a BMW indy with Autologic can sort that. But keeping on track, welcome

E46 - think about 2002-04, the E90 is lovely but too pricey at the moment!

Thinking dark blue with beige leather (but had that last time), or possibley dark grey with black...any other good combinations? Want to get a wind deflector too, can you only get these from BMW? any idea on pricing?

    Like the light leather interior.

My e93 has black, no choice as it was ex-demo, but my two previous e46's had beige and then light yellow nappa which was fantastic. The light yellow seems rare, have a look at it on my albums in my profile to give you an idea. The light interior IMO really lifts the car, but each to their own.

Wind deflectors seem to pop up on fleabay quite often at very reasonable prices. I paid £72 for mine which was brand new, never been used.

I wouls suggest a stereo upgrade..theres several threads on doing this to the E46 on here..

Sat nav is decent, Im not sure if its just idrive that can do post code search though...I will check

Not sure re the tv, will check in the right forum on here as have seen it discussed before

Cheers guys, I'll sort the wind deflector in that case. Not too fussed about the satnat/tv but thought it might be a nice addition if it was any good, probably end up going back to Tomtom! Anyone know why they never made the e46 convertible diesel in an auto? 330D would have been nice...just have to stay a petrol head I suppose!
