    Hi folks,

i'm ben. hoping to have a 2nd crack at BMW ownership in the next few weeks. the first example was a thoroughly rotten E21 318i Alpina Replica with half leather recaro interior. it cost me the princely sum of £275 and i got to drive it home once....and then it died

anyway, enough of memory lane. i'm on the hunt for a E36 coupe.am looking for a nice balance of power/economy. been looking at a few 318is' and 320's but yet to see the one for me.

just looking for some sound advice on what to look for when going to view a Bimmer. what should i be looking out for when i take one for a test drive. i just don't want to get stuck with a knacker thats gonna cost me a load to get fixed.

    lovin the forum

    ben

See if you can get a 323, reason being is that the running costs are roughly the same for the 320 to 328 size cars, and with the 323 you get a good engine sound, and also the ability to add the 2.5 inlet manifold later on to increase the engine power. (when you get bored of the standard hp) cheap mod, good power increase.
