    Good evening all,

I am picking up a BMW next weekend so I was keen to join a forum as I have learned so much about my current car from other forums.

I researched the web and this forum easily stands out as the most user friendly and well organised!!

So my first question.... I am picking up a nearly new 2010 (10k miles) 335D M Sport Saloon from a private sale. A little more cost than the current motor but I have worked hard so I think I deserve it??!!

Anyhow I had remapped and modded the previous car so I am keen to get this one remapped the same weekend that I collect it. Would you recommend waiting a few weeks to enjoy the car as it is or should I just get it done?

The current car produces around 330bhp (petrol turbo) so I am keen to enjoy the same performance.....

    Thanks for any feedback

    Berttie

I personally wouldn't remap untill its out of BMW warranty. Local indy bloke who worked at BMW for 6 yearts told me that dealerships can detect remapped cars and refuse warranty claims for parts that could be directly affected by remap, turbo's etc. Dont know if this is true as he didn't go into details but food for thought.
