    Hi all -

So I drove a E39 530d for a few years. Loved it. Then I got into kitesurfing and it was impractical. I bought a VW Transporter T5 130 LWB and pimped it out. I love it but on the "no wind" weekends I need an adrenaline kick. I am thinking the answer might be found in an RS4 or a E46 M3 CS.

Test drove the RS4 today ... what an epic car that is.

Trying to find a CS to try out. There seem to be loads of CSLs and SMGs out there but I don't think they are for me. CSL seems too extreme for me (cardboard boot?) and I don't want the SMG gearbox.

Ideas? I am based in Wimbledon.

I am also looking for black leather as red is not for me.

    BA

    Welcome to the forum

Definitely someone who knows what they want

How embarrassing, I didn't even know that they did a CS

Good luck with your search, by all accounts the Audi you have already taken for a test drive will be hard to beat

    Welcome mate

Great choices you have, best way to decide is to test drive both of them thoroughly

Thanks for all the thoughts. I test drove an M3 CS on the weekend vs an RS4 and I have to say I preferred the RS4 ... more "me". Put down a deposit on one today and I collect this weekend. V. excited!

    Thanks again,

    BA

    Welcome and Bye Bye

Have fun and enjoy your ownership

It would be nice though if you could post up some photos of it once you have collected it

Just because we're BMW nuts doesn't mean that we don't like any other cars

Will do. And I suspect we all share the joy of fabulous German engineering and ... "zoom zoom".
