Hey guys just got myself a 1999 E46 323Ci, its in pretty good condition for its year from what I know about cars. dont know anything about BMW's though. I am a VW man to be honest. ~(Still German)

Anyway I picked it up yesterday and had a nice comfy 3 hour drive back home apart from trying to get used to the heavy accelerator pedal. Is there anyway of adjusting this? Try and give it a little bit gas and it doesn't budge so try a bit harder and i end up flying off.

I will get some pics up of it tomorrow after I have gave it a nice wee wash.

    Cheers
    John

    Welcome to the forum John

With regards to your accelerator pedal, all I can say is that you'll get used to it in time.
It's worth checking your car mat (if you have them) isn't pushed up against the pedal, mine does this sometimes, and once I pull it back and put it back into the right position I seem to use the pedal more freely.

    Hi from another newbie.

The accelerator cable on E46's with the M52tu engine (323 and 328) suffer from patially seizing.

A new one will improve it.
