Ok so I will admit I used to always be the one thinking 'bloody beemer drivers thinking they own the road'

Until last Saturday when I test drove a 535d and immediately knew I wanted it.

Paid a deposit, carbon black, satnav, all the goodies, memory seats, rear blind blah blah. Astonished how lovely and quietit was in the cabin, smooth and pulls very impressively well

Having spent all my life driving either a Toyota Hilux, Landrover Defender 90 or a turbo'd Renault Clio Williams (pacey but lacking in luxuries) I have fancied a saloon 'cruiser' type car for a long time. Considering I get diesel through my company it seemed like an obvious choice too

Luckily I got the dealer 'James Paul', even though they were asking top-end money, to throw in removal of the swirl flaps, new pads, oil service, 12 months tax and free delivery 90 miles away i dont think I did to badly. Obviously it was a test drive so I didnt really get a chance to give it any welly. Definitely looking forward to a run in it!

Massively chuffed with the choice I have made, paid for the car today and hopefully it'll be with me by 2pm tomorrow. To say I am excited is an understatement.

Any Hi people, Frank from a very windy Essex

Welcome to bf, there would have been a big margin for jp to chuck in swirl flap removal as well, either way enjoy your motor

I guessed that anyway. Not really that worried, at least I get dealer backup from them so hopefully anything that goes wrong happens in the next 6 months!
