Just read robs post again and it was me spinning out I was half doing something while reading it the first time lol and velocity your right there I think if a 318 can beat an m3 without a turbo or supercharger I'm getting one and doing what ever that blokes doing to his 318, what do you lads reckon is a good way to get a bit more power until I upgrade in about a year I was thinking a remap and maybe a free flow exhaust?

Haha, to be honest nothin much can be done to gain serious horses on these bimmers aside ofcourse a turbo/super charger but thats a long and very expensive procedure. Otherwise as u said a remap is the best thing i cant remember exactly but its something like a 10-14 hp increase withought being too aggresssive. Also yea a straight pipe will smooth out air flow but there wont be a huge increase in power, id say u might just feel better throttle response or smthin small like that

Also some people put aftermarket air filters like powerflow filters or k &n they also dont really make a huge difference maybe a few horses or sometimes even none, if u do add one then dont go for any oil based ones coz they wreck the mass air flow sensor

I'm not going to get an air filter I think the standard one I have is all good I'm shore bmw wouldn't make shit ones also I can get a remap done near me and il gain 15 bhp which will knock it upto 185 then if I got a straight through on it obviously before the remap i reckon il be on about 190 which is kooshty plus I'm sure there's a few other little bits you can do for the extra 10 to make 200bhp as for turbo's and that I would not bother spending the money to do it because you have to upgrade all most everything else so it can take the torque I'd rather go out and buy a car with a turbo or at least do it on a 330 or something there would be no point putting a turbo or supercharger on a 320 although it would be fun to leave the 320 badge on and see peoples faces as I leave them in smoke not worth the money though I'd rather leave someone in smoke with a 330 badge on that back lol

Yea straight pipes and even headers would help in the remap and ut right theres would be too much to do for a turbo/super. I probz wont spend that much on performance modz just save dat cash up for somethin better later

Ideally that's what I'd like to do but I reckon it would be quite expensive so i might just end up getting the remap then go from there

Iv had 5 cars now guys 2 of which have been turbos and there good fun but when they go wrong they are expensive personally i wouldnt touch another turbo car there not worth the hassle. My 2.5 is just as quick as my old 05 astra sri 2.0 turbo 200+ Not only is it as quick its also better on petrol than my old astra aswell.

Iv been looking online and wondered what these are like, Have you guys ever had or know someone whos had one of these?

Init, If its a decent one i dont mind getting it but if its like Alba or tescos value i wont bother lol, I used to have a Ripspeed DV720 and thats shite When it worked it was good but went to it one morning and it said Welcome lit up for about 3 seconds then said Bye Bye and turned itself off, Before that one i had a Sony Xplod CDX-GT720 i had that for 3 years. Iv never heard of Phase, I know Sony and Pioneer are good makes.
