Yer you are right there it's like any upgrade though if you do one thing you need to do another so it can with stand more power/torque it's annoying really because I do like performance cars like all jap cars skylines, civics huge turbo's etc not shore a lot of people will be with me on that but they are fun and performance will always beat factory obviously, it's just the price that comes with it and maintenance that I don't like and as for that panel filter have you got one on your bmw now or are you seriously keeping it standard down to the bone?

Im keeping it standard to the bone mate, Im changing the oil, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter every 6 months, spark plugs every 12 months, tyres as and when, anti freeze every 3 years, I always let the screenwash run dry and then top up with fresh clean stuff I flick between apple scent and lemon scent. Every 6 months i check under the car all the joints, wish bones, moving parts are still lubricated esp just before winter to prevent them freezing and snapping. im abit of a car freak even if i do say so myself. Like i said i had one of them filters in my old astra and i felt the difference mate. heres some pictures.

And this is the car at the time.

This is the car i miss the most tho, My old 1999 E36 318is coupe

I like that e36, swapping the zafira for that bm I reckon that's a good deal you got there mate and I might actually get that panel filter because it can't do anything but good considering it's not a shite induction kit it's the stardard air box just with a better filter i was thinking about getting a k&n one before

K&N panel filter or Pipecross panel filter they both do the same job just preference on brands as far as im aware. you want to avoid cone filters because they tend to draw hot air into your engine from your engine bay and thats one thing you dont really want.

The E36 was on coilovers, the astra was a 30mm drop on eibach proline springs. my current bmw is standard.

Heres some more pics of the E36 mate.

Everything was changed to black inside. The roof lining, parcel shelf and pillars where covered in black velvet.

Costs £36 about 5 mins to fit thats just one of the things it make your car run smoother all this shit about remaps is crazy, the way i look at it if you get a remap done its just something else to go wrong and something extra for your car insurance company to drool over. also if cars where ment to have it done surely they would come out the factory remapped :/
I agree remapping could lead to more expense down the line but show me a bmw remapped 10 yrs ago still going strong and i would be then convinced as for panel filter why pay £40 for piprcross when it clearly doesnt out perform the £10 standard OEM Mahle filter and k&N forget it there oil based stick with oem mahle parts if they were that good pipercross would have a contract worth millions to be bmw oem supplier its just a blag saying it increases power etc

They do make great noise on turbo engines thats why u noticed the difference before

That e36 it's actually really smart I'm not a massive fan of them but that does look good, how come you got rid of it? Haha I like that picture with the duck as well, also is that carbon fibre steering wheel inserts and dial surround?

The duck was trying to stance like the bm haha yep had carbon fiber everywhere

    headlight switch,
    speedo,
    heater unit,
headlight aim and interior dimmer panel,
    glovebox strip,
prob more but cant remember, I got rid of it because it needed to much work doing to it and was to thirsty in the end used to cost £10 to do a 15 mile trip.

Im not gonna be on for a while guys as im moving tonight. 3hrs drive away im leaving at midnight tonight so theres less traffic.
