    hi all im new to this site and this is my first bm out of about 10 cars in the last 2 years and i must say so far it is the best! but i want to keep on top of things! so i am going to give it a full service for piece of mind so was wondering if you all hv any tips? i hv a bmw 316 sport 1997 i am putting a kn panel fillter in the box but was going to do oil filter fuel filter plugs and ht leads! but was wondering what oil would be best and is it ok to use engine flush with a timing chain? and fill the tank if i can afford it these days! lol and use an injector cleaner? so i would appreciate any advise of the stuff im using and what im doing! thanx alan

    Welcome to the forum mate

    I would stay well away from engine flushes....

    Instead, get the car nice and hot (up to normal temp) before draining the oil.

    The problem with flushing is that sometimes debris can get stuck inside oil galleries....meaning that, yep,you guessed it....oil flow is dramatically reduced which can mean parts wear far faster than they otherwise would have..

    or worse.

    Injector cleaner is ok with a full tank of fuel.

    I will check what oil you need
