    Hi everyone.

This is my first post so hello to everyone here

    I've joined this forum because I'm looking at buying a E46 330d (204 bhp model 03+)

Currently I drive a '98 Mitsubishi Evolution V RS (those who aren't too familiar with Evo's, it's the light weight version marketed at buyers who intend to use the car for motorsports... no sound deadening, no electric windows/mirrors, no central locking, no air con, no abs, no active yaw control... a short ratio gear box... ... mechanical diffs etc ). I've been driving Evo's for a couple of years now (I had a '03 Evo VIII prior to the V) and I’ve loved every minute of it (except the amount of money the car consumes). I use my Evo as my daily driver and like to attend shows, track days and sprint events. Here are a few pics of my pride and joy:

Like I said she's my daily driver at the minute but I'm looking at getting a little bit more serious with the car and want to fit her out so she's a little bit safer and quicker to compete in.

So I'm making the Evo my play thing and on the hunt for a nice 330d to commute in.

OK that's my story... I look forward to getting to know more about Bimmers and you lot

    -Karl

    Cheers lads
I'm looking forward to a bit of good quality German engineering. I can't wait to get my bum in a cushy seat. Motorway driving in the Evo is painful as it sits at 4000 rpm @ 70mph!!) I get about 200 miles to an average tank-full on £50 quids worth of V-power in the Evo ( I've seen as little as 6mpg on track!!). I'm expecting a fair few mpg more in the BM. I plan to get the car remapped too and like the sound of 250 bhp - 500nm...the car should be pretty pokey

It must have been a mental spec for 780! A real handful I'm sure.

I'd like a coupe but they are a lot more. I was hoping to pick up a cheap 03 plate 330d...I've seen them as low as 5G but I'll have to see what bargains I can find. I'd pay up to 8 for the right car. I don't mind if it's a tourer either (actually it would come in handy!)
Mileage does not concern me either if the car has been well serviced.

I bet you miss it. Were you on the MLR? They cost a fortune to run as a daily driver don't they?!

I can afford to run it... but looking to strip the car out, fit a cage, harnesses, buckets, leightweight panels, plastic windows etc... it will be a nightmare for a daily driver.

Hoping to get the best of both worlds when I pick up a BM.
